  • RHP Shane Greene: 6.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 6 K, 13/1 GB/FB. Amazing game in a pretty rough season. We so what he could do in spring training, and if he gets it all together he should be a better major league starter than Vidal Nuno.

AA GM 2 Trenton loses 4-3.

  • Mason Williams: 1-3, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 K.  .765 OPS in his last 10 games. Has a hit in 8 of those games. Has 5 steals in those 10 games, and 7 walks versus 2 k. His walk rate has been pretty good all season, and hopefully his renewed patience leads to more hits. He needs a big turnaround.
  • Ben Gamel: 0-3.
  • Tyler Austin: 2-3, 1 R, 1 RBI. 9 for his last 24, also needs to start hitting. Two multi-hit games in one day is a good start.
  • Gary Sanchez: 2-3, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI. Has a .924 OPS in his last 10 games, with 3 homers and 3 doubles. Has 7 homers on the year. May was a pretty rough month for him.
  • Peter O'Brien: 0-3.
  • Robert Refsnyder: 1-3, 1 2B.  Rare game where he does have multiple hits. He has a OPS of 1.425 in his last ten games, and is in line for a promotion to AAA later this year.

  • LHP Fred Lewis: 2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 1K 5/0 GB/FB.

Hi-A Tampa got rained out

  • RF Aaron Judge: 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI. 6th homer of the year, and 3rd in his last 10 games. Took a while for the homers to come, but he’s hitting like he’s supposed too now. .949 OPS in his last ten games.

Yesterday was the first game of the DSL season and while I don’t know if I’ll cover them every day—because their box scores tend to published late— I will update you all occasionally on how they are doing.

DSL Yankees 1 beat the DSL Giants 11-9.

  • SS Yancarlos Baez: 1-4, 2 R, 1 3B, 1 BB.  Big signing from 2 years, his glove is apparently ahead of his bat.
