  • LF Antoan Richardson: 1-3, 1 BB.
  • 3B Scott Sizemore: 0-3, 1 RBI, 1 E.
  • SS Dean Anna: 0-4, 1 K.
  • CF Adonis Garcia: 2-4, 1 R, 1 3B.
  • 1B Kyle Roller: 1-4, 2 K.
  • RF Zelous Wheeler: 3-4, 1 RBI.  .908 OPS, for the AAA version of Solarte.
  • DH Russ Canzler: 1-3, 1 BB.
  • 2B Jose Pirela: 0-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K.
  • C Austin Romine: 1-2.  .808 OPS in his last 10 games.
  • RHP Joel De La Cruz: 7 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 15/5 GB/FB Ratio. Has been very good at this level. Has more than 3 times as many ks as walks, and gets a lot of grounders.
  • RHP Branden Pinder: 1 IP, zeroes, 2 K, 0/1 GB/FB.

AA Trenton loses 1-2 to the SeaWolves. Slade Heathcott will make his 2014 debut today. The outfield is a bit crowded, but I would promote Dugas and cut Yeral Sanchez to make some room.

  • LF Taylor Dugas: 0-4, 1 K. Has a .891 OPS at this level. They really consider moving him up, he has a knack for hitting. His lack of power, might not make him a future Yankee, but he looks like he can find a role for some team.
  • CF Ben Gamel: 2-4.
  • 3B Rob Segedin: 1-4, 1 K.
  • C Gary Sanchez: 1-4, 2 K.
  • 1B Tyler Austin: 1-4.
  • RF Peter O'Brien 2-4, 1 R, 1 HR, RBI, 2 K. Fourth homer at this level.
  • 2B Rob Refsnyder 0-4.
  • DH Yeral Sanchez 0-3, 1 K.
  • SS Dan Fiorito 1-3.
  • RHP Bryan Mitchell: 2.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 3/2 GB/FB. Scheduled for 3 innings, first start in a couple of weeks, due to elbow inflammation. Seems to have picked off where he left off.
  • LHP Tyler Webb: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 1/0 GB/FB.
  • LHP Manny Banuelos: 0.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 0 K, 1/1 GB/FB. Was scheduled to go four innings, but he probably also has a pitch per inning limit.
  • RHP Manny Barreda:  2.1 IP, zeroes, 2 k, 3/1 GB/FB.  20 ks versus 8 walks.
  • Pat Venditte: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 0/1 GB/FB.

Hi-A Yankees win 7-1 over the Mets.

  • CF Jake Cave: 3-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K, 2 SB. OPS is nearing a 1.000 in his last 10 games. Seems to have been hitting all year, but is getting more consistent, and starting to hit homers. This was his second in the past 10 games, and second all year,
  • SS Cito Culver: 1-5, 1 R, 1 3B, 2 K.
  • 3B Eric Jagielo: 1-3, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 E. Has a .843 OPS in his last 10 games.
  • DH Dante Bichette Jr.: 1-5, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K
  • 1B Matt Snyder: 1-5, 3 K
  • RF Zach Wilson: 2-4, 1 BB, 1 K. Batting .376 at this level.
  • LF Anderson Feliz: 1-5, 1 2B, 1 K. Just turned 22 4 days ago, really underrated hitter, hopefully he stays healthy and finally lives up to his potential.
  • C Trent Garrison: 1-4, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K.
  • 2B Claudio Custodio; 2-5, 1 RBI, 1 K, 2 SB.
  • LHP Daniel Camarena: 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 9/3 GB/FB. Starting to find his groove this is his 5th good start in a row.
  • Kyle Haynes 2 IP, zeroes, 1 K, 5/1 GB/FB.

Low-A lost 5-3 to Hickory.

  • SS Tyler Wade: 1-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 BB, 2 K. Back to back games with a double, maybe the power is finally starting to show.
  • CF Brandon Thomas: 0-4, 2 K.
  • RF Aaron Judge: 0-4, K.
  • DH Mike Ford: 1-4, 1R, 1 RBI.
  • LF Michael O'Neill: 1-4, 1 R, 2 K.
  • 3B Miguel Andujar: 1-4, 1 RBI, 2 E.
  • 1B John Murphy: 2-3, 1 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SB
  • C Kale Sumner: 0-3, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 passed ball, 1 E.
  • 2B Gosuke Katoh: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K. Is supposedly a patient hitter, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of these ks were the result of him keeping the bat on his shoulder.
  • LHP Ian Clarkin: 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 8/5 GB/FB. All his starts have been very good so far.
  • LHP Omar Luis: 3 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 3/2 GB/FB. Had 1 perfect inning, so there’s that.
